This series of collages represent a body of work done while I was in the process of deciding to close the storefront version of Studio Pardes. I began to feel called by other things, the mountains of California where I recently bought a home. I had become uncomfortable with how comfortable the studio was for the artists who came there. I felt a strong need to let things fall apart.
One of the nagging issues for me was the aspect of money. Four of the ten pieces have a representation of money as an element. What is the right relationship of art and artists to commerce? This is a question I have.
